Keep me Warm

Friday, November 29, 2013

Hello everyone! Just a quick outfit post today, I hope everyone had an incredible Thanksgiving! It's been a little tough to get some good posts in with the weather we've been having lately. One day it's humid and rainy, the next it's frigid. I can't keep up, all I can do is work with it I suppose. Anyway I wanted to share one of the coziest outfits I have put together! It's featuring a sweater my sister actually gave me (thanks Natalie). Also the scarf I'm wearing is probably the softest I've ever owned. I love infinity scarfs and this one has an array of earthy toned hues which makes me adore it even more. And let me just say boy did this outfit keep me warm. Hope you're staying warm wherever you may be during this transition into winter. Time is moving so fast!

Have a lovely day!

Studs + Dots

Friday, November 22, 2013

Hello everyone! It's been pretty chilly out, but that won't stop me from wearing dresses! I love dresses with collars, but the dress actually doesn't have one. So I layered a blouse with a collar underneath the dress and added a cardigan for extra warmth. I think the collar adds an edgy touch to this ever so girly outfit.

I have several more dresses I cannot wait to style! Hopefully I can get a handle on all my projects at school and get some outfits together.

Have a lovely day!

Vintage Shoe Love

Wednesday, November 20, 2013

Hello everyone! Sorry I've neglected posting for a while, school is really kicking my booty and I've been trying really hard to focus on my work.
I wanted to share this outfit I wore not too long ago featuring my only pair of vintage red shoes. They're from the 1960s, which is probably my favorite decade for fashion! I can't wait to find more outfits to pair with them!

Hope you're having a wonderful week!

Meander through the woods

Here's some style inspiration for you! Cognac brown is genuinely is an incredible fall/winter color, especially when it comes to boots. The one's I put together in the collage above are amazing. It's a simple outfit you can wear during any fall day while relaxing or exploring! Just grab your bag, a notebook, and a camera and the adventure will find you.

Have a lovely day!

Boho Rose

Thursday, November 7, 2013

This post is featuring a dress I was lucky enough to snag at Forever21 a little while ago. Though they probably still have it online, it happened to be the last one in my size at my local mall. And let me tell you it is one of the most comfortable dresses I have ever worn! It's perfectly loose, like a baby doll, and the detailing is amazing. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but red is my favorite color, so I was instantly drawn to the dress.
I like it not only for the comfort and detailing, but it also comes with a slip which is nice since the material is pretty thin. So I decided I would wear this dress and pair it with my red rose for a boho chic look. I love being able to wear dresses during the fall, but it's really important that you stay warm.

Hope you have a lovely day!

Cozy Autumn Vest

Tuesday, November 5, 2013

Hello everyone! It's official the night comes quicker as our days are longer. Just yesterday it was pitch black outside and I though it was 8pm when it was actually 5pm. Crazy!
But with the time shift there's also a change in weather, there are even some places with snow.
Well I guess it's time to break out those warm winter sweaters and in this case vests too.
The vest featured in this post is from ShopRuche, one of my newest favorite places to shop. I had my eye on this vest since the day it was posted on the ShopRuche website. I waited and waited to purchase it and then it was gone! To my surprise I found there was one left it stock and I had to have it. I though it was fate, someone must have returned it therefore leading me to find it. That wasn't the case...I received an email explaining there was a manufacturers error. The email sent from Ruche was very kind and they refunded me.
Just a week later I received another message telling me that the vest was back in stock. With that knowlege I immediately bought it.
This is genuinely one of my favorite purchases because it feels like I'm wearing a warm blanket. My favorite part is that it has pockets. Cozy and convenient :).
I kept this look simple pairing the vest with dark denim, a cream top with some details in the sleeve, and loafers.
What's your go to fall/winter essential(s)? I think a cozy vest is a good investment!
Let me know in the comments below!

Have a wonderful day!

Vintage Sunday

Sunday, November 3, 2013

Hi everyone! Happy November! Boy time sure is flying things have been busy as usual lately, but it's a good busy. Earlier this month I was very stressed about school, but for now things have seemed to mellow out... Last week Amy from Artifaktori called me up and asked me to run the Artifaktori booth again at the SoWa Vintage Market. How could I pass that up, right? I mean the first
time I ran the booth (with my sister) was a couple of months ago and we loved it!
So we went there again and this time I dawned one of my favorite vintage pieces. I wore a shirt that belonged to my mom back in the 80s as a dress. Yup. My mom is much taller than I will ever be and yes, I wore her shirt as a dress. It's genuinely one of my favorite things she has passed down.

There were a lot of incredible vintage pieces at the market. Unfortunately, I didn't get to purchase anything, but browsing was nice! I love exploring though the clothing, posters, and nick nacks galore on my down time last week there were tons and tons of people.
Before the rush of people I was able to grab some food at Roxy's Grilled Cheese truck. IT WAS AMAZING. I had the green muenster, which was a grilled cheese sandwich with muenster cheese, guacamole, and bacon. I didn't get a chance to try the fries, but I've heard they're to die for.
Well, hopefully I'll be able to visit the SoWa Market again soon!

Have a wonderful day!
